  Initial cost is at low $1,000.00 (USD) per school location*.  And just minimum of 5 students per month to maintain MathSecret License**.
• Training??!!
  Training to become a certified MathSecret Soroban Abacus Math Teacher is not difficult, entire course takes about 4 weeks to complete online (depending on your dedication, you might finish this faster.)
  Training includes:
  • MathSecret Basics: How to perform and teach addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • MathSecret Business 101: How to recruit students and establish your presence in your local area.
  • Ongoing support: When you have questions or concerns, just call or email us.
• How much to charge for tuition from your students?
  Tuition rate varies from area to area. Best way is to check your local market rates.
• Does MathSecret take a split of my income?
  No.  This is your business! Your hard earned tuition is your own profit. MathSecret only charge monthly student access fee by providing student learning data.  Each MathSecret Licensee must maintain at least 5 active students each month.
• When can I start my teaching? And how long will it take to get to 20 students?
  You can start advertising or teaching after you obtained your MathSecret Soroban Abacus and Mental Math Basic Teacher License.  MathSecret cannot actively recruit students, MathSecret can only share Licensees the proven ways to recruit students. MathSecret does not guarantee student recruitment.

Details of MathSecret Teacher Training:

1. MathSecret 101: MathSecret Basic Teaching Material via MathSecret Online Learning (typically 2 to 4 weeks.)
2. Business 101 in MathSecret:  We will share with you ways to start recruiting students.  From what you should be doing to what you shouldn’t be doing…
3. Establishing Local Presence:  Various methods to help you promote your  tutoring business locally!

**Business 101 in MathSecret and Establishing Local Presence will not start until participants completes MathSecret 101.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How much time do I have to finish MathSecret Teacher Training Program?
   MathSecret 101 is very simple to go through.  We estimate it will take about 4 weeks.  You will be given 3 months to complete this section.  However, if you need more time, simply send us an email; we can extend your training up to 12 months. Training program will be available 24 hours per day.  However, only 60 minutes will be allocated to take quizzes and tests for progressing through the system.
2. What if I do not finish within the given time?
   Simply send us an email, we will extend your MathSecret Teacher Training for another 3 months.  You can extend as many as 3 times or up to 12 months after your start date.
3. Do I have to repay the scholarship back to MathSecret Education Foundation?
   No.  You do not have to repay the scholarship back to MathSecret Education Foundation!  Even if you do not complete your training.  Or, even if you do not tutor or teach MathSecret.
4. What is the qualification to apply for MathSecret Licensing?
   Simply apply and pay your fee!  That is all!!  Application is short and simple!
5. What if I am rejected?
   If we feel you are not suitable teaching MathSecret, your payment will be refunded to you in full within 24 hours of disqualification!
6. Is the membership fee refundable if I decide not to pursue MathSecret Teaching?
   Membership fee is paid monthly and is not refundable.  Please make sure your computer is not sitting behind a tightly controlled firewall.  Your application fee is not refundable if your computer cannot access MathSecret materials online!
7. Can I set my own tutoring schedule?
   Yes.  MathSecret does not regulate when or where you do your teach business.
8. Is this available only in United States of America?
   MathSecret Teacher Training is available worldwide (except Iran, North Korea, Cuba, and Venezuela.  For these areas, please check MathSecret Developers.)  All applicants must complete a simple application.
9. What is the Monthly Cost of Doing MathSecret Business?
   MathSecret Licensing is FREE monthly.  Simply keep at least 5 active students per month (this should be fairly simple, if you are dedicated, you should be able to do this without any issues. You may incur other additional cost in doing business, such as advertising fees, internet connection fees, business licenses, etc. Licensees are solely responsible for all these costs of doing business.
10. What kind of support does MathSecret offer when I start my soroban abacus math teaching business?
    MathSecret will provide limited support to its teachers.  Basic business guidance and advice, basic tools such as student soroban abacus, books, workbooks, instructor’s abacus and other supplies are available for purchase via MathSecret website.  You may also use MathSecret’s toll free number (888) 910-math to help growing your business.  An extension will be assigned to you with unlimited usage.  MathSecret toll free is available for a small monthly fee.
11. Do I have to fly to MathSecret’s headquarter in Southern California for training?
    No.  MathSecret 101 can be done online via computer.  Other courses can be completed also online via video or teleconferencing.
